Urgent Repair Work of Baba Amte Bhavan in Snehalaya MIDC

In 2025–2026, Aadhaar4U has taken the responsibility to implement the above project in collaboration with Snehalaya. We have been associated with this organization since 2008 and have successfully completed several projects together in the past.

Snehalaya is an organization that has been driving social change for over 35 years through education, skills development, and rehabilitation programs. It operates in a region severely affected by unemployment, poverty, and a lack of public healthcare facilities. Due to recurring droughts, economic hardship, and a large transient population — as Ahmednagar is a major transport hub — the area has long struggled with issues such as sex trafficking, child labour, and abuse among low-income families.

Baba Amte Bhavan, the Rehab Center, established in 1992, is its oldest and one of its most impactful initiatives. It provides a safe home to over 200 girls, 40 women (including those above 18 years), and their children, supported by residential caregivers, staff, and volunteers. To date, the center has supported more than 1,500 children, fulfilling their basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, education, vocational training, and counseling.

Approximately 50% of the children at the center are HIV positive. Many of the residential structures were built nearly 20 years ago, while others are around 10–12 years old, and now require significant renovation and maintenance.

The total project cost is estimated at ₹15,00,000 (approximately €15,000).
