Aadhaar4U team has decided, in addition to the classroom shed, to finance a solar powered 5hp pump on the well with estimated cost of ₹ 500000/- (appr. € 6500/-). The volunteers of Lok Biradari Prakalp are working hard to arrange a good supply of water to the school at Nelgunda. In the past two years, they have also planted vegetables and fruits in the area for the school children’s consumption. The production needs to be efficiently increased to suffice need of 130 children. At the moment, for this reason a water well is under construction.  Water from the well will be used for drinking, cooking, horticulture,  agriculture, and toilets.

We are happy to share with you that the earlier planned Aadhaar4U project for 2018-2019 with the objective to collect € 13000/- for a classroom shed for the tribal children of “Sadhana Vidyalaya” – Nelgunda, has been achieved with help of your warmhearted help.

We achieved this target in less than six months. This was only possible with the help of generous sponsors, donors, and well-wishers who supported the fundraisers organized by Aadhaar4U in the Netherlands (27 May), an informal meet & greet session in Berlin (02 June), and the fundraiser by Belgium Marathi Mandal in Brussels (09 June).

Lok Biradari Prakalp – Hemalkasa will start the shed construction work immediately after the monsoon.

This outcome gives us immense motivation to continue our association with Lok Biradari Prakalpa till the planned project date, June 2019, and get involved in supporting other possible areas where we can contribute further towards the betterment of the Tribal school at Nelgunda.

It is unimaginable that the culture which is more than 6-7000 years old still has tens of thousands of neglected tribals who are exploited daily, who communicate using primitive language, hunt wild animals and use tuber-roots/stems for food. This all due to lack of education. Let’s join hands and generate whatever respectful support we can provide to Lok Biradari Prakalp to bring up a better new generation of these tribals.
